These marigold petals were collected, with respect, from a Día de los Muertos altar. The design this piece is based off of, the cultural significance of the marigold, and this particular practice of ancestral remembrance are of pre-Columbian/Mexican origin. These ideas are not mine to profit off of. For that reason all proceeds from this piece will be donated to Border Kindness, an organization that directly provides life saving services such as food, water, shelter, transportation, legal aid, medical care, and more to children and families at the US/Mexico border.
