All proceeds from the sale of this print will be donated to the Chicago Community Bond Fund, a revolving fund which supports individuals whose communities cannot afford to pay the bonds themselves and who have been impacted by structural violence, as well as Shirts for Commissary where funds will be distributed to the commissary accounts of those in need/without family support at Statesville, a maximum security penitentiary in Illinois. The piece itself is a dissection and re-amalgamation of jail reports to the state, pamphlets, prison tourism brochures, and reflections on efficacy of correctional facilities by those that wield power within them. The bricks that blend with the collage are from a rubbing made from the walls that surround Cook County Jail.
